Adriatic Sea
In our opinion, Adriatic Sea is the most wonderful sea in the world. Our outlook is that Adriatic Sea shimmers with intoxicating blue and it is crystal-clear. The rocks make the Adriatic so clear. Moreover, Adriatic is warm sea. The average summer temperature of the Adriatic is between 22-26 degrees Celsius. It is warm enough and cool enough to get refreshment from the sun.
Now onto facts and observations.
Croatian Adriatic coastline is 1777 km long and occupies most of the eastern Adriatic shoreline. Thanks to many bays and coves, it is one of the most indented shorelines in Europe. Islands are in parallel to the shore separated by channels. Average sea temperatures in the summer months are between 22 °C and 27 °C. Seawater clarity is from around 20 meters in the north to of 56 meters in the south. Adriatic Sea is characterized by a clarity and intense blue color. In the Adriatic there are 718 islands and islets, 289 rocks and 78 reefs along the coastline. Precisely because of this fact, Croatia is called the ‘land of a thousand islands’.

Central Dalmatia
Most of our boats are located in marinas in Central Dalmatia. This is from where you will start your journey so we would like to say a few words about Central Dalmatia.
Central Dalmatia is one of the most action-packed and diverse part of Croatia, but at the same time the easiest to explore. Usual base for exploration of central Dalmatia is city of Split. It is that from Split you can easily make day trips everywhere on the map.
The beauty of the Mediterranean is in full bloom in central Dalmatia. From Murter, an island that is the largest in the Sibenik archipelago. On Murter you can find olive, fig and almond orchards and plenty of vineyards. Murter makes a good place to plan a visit to the Kornati Islands National Park.
Best places in Central Dalmatia
The Kornati Islands National Park are located between Šibenik and Zadar. They make a spectacular archipelago of 109 uninhabited islands, islets and reefs on an area of 224 square kilometers. George Bernard Shaw wrote, “On the last day of the Creation God desired to crown his work and thus created the Kornati Islands out of tears, stars and breath”. There are no better words to describe beauty of these islands. Kornati are a sailor’s paradise.
The largest island is Kornat and main settlement on the island of Kornat is Vrulje. Although uninhabited, there are a few houses for rent and few restaurants open in summertime. In Kornati national park, the sparkling clear water offers great visibility. The most popular swim spot is island of Levrnaka is and there is a small restaurant for refreshments.
Diving here is excellent, especially around Rašip. It is essential to dive with an organized group that has obtained the necessary diving permits.
Other amazing destinations in central Dalmatia include Dugi Otok and Telaščica Nature Park. Eight kilometers long, sheltered bay is accessible only by boat. Dugi Otok has one spectacular beach, Saharun.
Island of Šolta is the closest island to Split. It is only a 20 minutes ride away from Split. Maslinica beach attracts many visitors due to it breathtaking nature. You have to keep in mind that island of Šolta is less touristic than other islands.
Island of Brač is largest of all central Dalmatian islands. It is dry and rocky and therefore it has exported beautiful white stone for centuries. Island of Brač is most famous for unique Golden horn or Zlatni Rat beach, composed of tiny white pebbles and its peak turns into directon that wind blows.
Croatia’s most famous island, island of Hvar is known for its mild climate, fields of lavender and great vineyards. Among younger generation it is known for as Croatia’s number one party spot.
To visit Palagruža islands you’ll need your own boat. They are far away! A 91-metre high lighthouse marks the largest island, which is available for rent. Scuba divers love these islands because of the rich underwater life
