Mostar & Kravice Waterfalls

Do you have an extra day and you want to spend it inland? This is the right tour for you! Join us on our air conditioned vehicle and visit breathtaking Neretva River, the city of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina and crystal clear waterfalls of Kravice.

Neretva River

We start from Split every day at 8:30 in the morning. Our air conditioned coach will take us inland and before you know it we will enter beautiful Neretva valley. This rich and fertile valley is widely used for planting many crops, but it is mostly known for watermelons and mandarins. While we drive you will see many locals selling their products by the road.

Flora and fauna are very rich, too. Here you can find more than 300 different types of birds. Neretva valley is considered to be second biggest ornithological location in Europe.

Lately, photo safaris’ have become really frequent here thanks to untouched nature. Another event that is really famous in Neretva is Neretva Boat Marathon that takes place on second Saturday in August.

Kravica Waterfall

One of the most fascinating natural phenomenons of the Herzegovina region is definitely the crystal clear waterfalls of Kravica. This amazing natural wonder is located on Trebižat River near city of Ljubuški. Waterfall height varies from 26 to 28 meters and create water amphitheater with a diameter of 120 meters! A great place to cool down, in the summer Kravica is a popular swimming place and picnic area.

This natural phenomenon is under the country’s protection as a natural rarity, but swimming is allowed. The best way to enjoy is to jump in! You will have lots of photo opportunities. Beautiful way to spend a summer day!

Our next stop is city of Mostar. The best description of Mostar would be a place where the eastern world meets the western. It’s a city of contrasts, rich in culture and amazing cuisine. Mostar is not only divided by Neretva River that flows through it. It is divided by religion and culture.

Top attractions in Mostar include Old Bridge (Stari Most), Old Bazar Kujundziluk, Koskin-Mehmed Pasha’s Mosque and Turkish House (Kajtaz), We will visit Old Bridge Area of the Old City of Mostar. Old Bridge is very stunning and beautiful structure that dates from 16th-century. Bridge connects the two parts of the city. This iconic structure of Mostar is great site for photo, whether you are on the bridge or nearby the bridge. We suggest taking picture near the bridge by the river whereby you can capture full image of the bridge.

Stari Most diving is a annual competition in diving organized in late July. It is traditional for the young men of the town to leap from the bridge into the Neretva, some tourists dive as well. Since 2015, Old Bridge has been a tour stop in the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series.

You will see that Mostar is beautiful city to walk on the stone footpaths along ancient houses on both sides of the old bridge. Path will lead us to Old Bazar Kujundziluk, pedestrian area of Mostar where the Turkish shops are located. Here you can find traditional handicrafts; copper items, beautiful carpets, clothes, scarves, jewelry, pipes and nargilehs. The local cafes are a great place to take a break and enjoy tea or coffee.

After we have finished our tour of Mostar, we will get back on our coach and find our way back to Split. We think this is great option to spend your day, just to get away from all that hassle of tourist destinations.
