Once we arrive in Montenegro, you will be amazed by Montenegrin coast which is bursting with stunning scenery. We suggest you visit the impressive town of Kotor. Kotor is coastal town in Montenegro. It is located in a secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor and your first thought will be “what a gorgeous place”. Kotor was ruled by many rulers: Illyrians, Romans, Byzantines, Austro-Hungarians and Venetians. It’s a really nice, atmospheric old town in a beautiful country. Tourist attractions in Kotor are led by Kotor Old Town. Truth be told, Kotor wouldn’t be too exciting without the old Town. It is fun walking down every lane trying to get lost. You will encounter great number of monuments of the medieval architecture: churches, cathedrals, palaces, and museums. Another beautiful place in Boka Kotorska is Perast. You can just feel how Perast was extremely rich town in the past. In front of Perast, you can see the Island Gospa od Skrpjela (Our Lady of the Rocks).
Sveti Stefan is situated on an islet that is connected to the mainland by a sandbank. Sandbank has two beaches with an interesting reddish color. It is an exclusive resort that is visited by many celebrities every summer. Pretty little park adjacent to Sveti Stefan offering walks along the cliffs and beach – try it – amazing!
Another coastal town Herceg Novi is located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor and at the foot of Mount Orjen. Herceg Novi is a major Montenegrin tourist destination. It is well known as a spa and health center. We suggest you take a walk in Herceg- Novi Old Town. Be prepared to a huge number of stairs, but the Old Town is very nice and also there are a number of bar and restaurants where you can take a break. Promenade of Herceg Novi is traffic free and offers lots of interesting views out to sea.
One of the most popular tourist pearls Budva is the focal point of Montenegrin tourism. Budva is known for its well-preserved medieval walled city, sandy beaches but it is worldwide known for its diverse nightlife. Tourism is the main economy branch of Budva. It is by far the most popular destination in Montenegro. Budva is well known as the capital of nightlife of the eastern Adriatic. The first nighclubs were famous still in the 1980s, but his trend continued until today, with Old Town and its promenade offering numerous bars, pubs and restaurants. Two big clubs, Top Hill and Trocadero dominate the clubbing scene. Enjoy the little alleys, wonderful sea shore, city walls and citadel.
The cities on the Montenegrin coast have special allure and will stay in your memory very long. On our way back enjoy unforgettable views of the sea and the most beautiful sunsets. We will be back at your place in Split in late evening, after we have spent amazing day in Montenegro. Thank you for joining us on this tour!
