Have you been enjoying Split for several days and you want a change? Visit one of many Damatina islands? Well, enjoy one of the most interesting and beautiful tours and activities in Split on this 5-hour excursion!
You have probably been staying in Split for a few days now and you have realized that Split is a place with many historical buildings combined with a cosmopolitan Riva waterfront where locals enjoy every day. You must have visited city within a city, Diocletian palace. It was built for Roman emperor Diocletian for him to enjoy once he retires. Split is unique since it is a city within a palace and very well preserved one, too. Another sight is Cathedral and Bell Tower of St. Domnius which offer a remarkable view of a city of Split and Split Channel.
You have probably visited the heart and spirit of Split, Marjan Park. In past, Marjan was used used for vineyards, olives groves and other agricultural products, but in last century it was converted to a forested park.
Embark in Split harbor
Previously we have mentioned Riva Waterfront, popular public space, facing the harbor, with superb tourist amenities such as restaurants, cafes, shops and places to explore. This is where we will meet and embark our boat. Feel the sea like a professional sailor on a luxury sailboat with professional skipper, staff and guide. Enjoy swimming and relaxing on the sundeck while sailing through the archipelago off of Split’s coast. Your skipper will give you opportunity to see and learn how to drive real sail boat.
It will take us one and a half hour to reach island of Šolta. Island of Šolta is considered one of the suburbs of Split since it is only short ride away from Split itself. Tourism is becoming one of the most important economic activities in Šolta but it is nowhere near as visited as Croatia’s other islands. In Šolta, main activities include production of olive oil and honey which makes it ideal if you want to try traditional island life.
We will dock in town of Rogač on the northern side of the island. History of Rogač goes back to ancient times since it was a port for the island’s most important settlement, Grohote. Today it is a starting point for exploration of the island. However, thanks to its amazing nature, beaches, central position and excellent road access, Rogač has become a destination of its own. This is why we will spend our time in Rogač, enjoy exquisite beaches with crystal clear sea, peace and quiet. You will have two hours of free time for swimming and sunbathing. There are many beaches you can go to: beach Kašjun, beach Brbavica, beach Banje or beach Rogač. There are some restaurants, too that offer fresh fish and traditional Dalmatian dishes with wine. We think this will be is a pleasant break from busy Split.
If you are ready, we will head back to Split. Our ride back will take only one and a half hour and you will be in Split in no time.
One of the best things to do in a city is escape for a while. And sometimes all you need is a day to recharge, so we suggest you join us for this one day trip to explore one of Dalmatia’s islands and try traditional life on an island!
We hope you have had good time!
