4 Day Private Sailing from Split to Zadar (one way)

This route is one of the most recommended sailing routes if you decide for a sailing holiday in Croatia.

In the morning we embark from the second biggest city in Croatia and the largest ferry port, Split and head towards Primošten.  Grown out of the fisherman village Primošten is small town located on a small peninsula. Primošten can be described as a town full of stone houses and narrow streets that offer atmosphere of an original Dalmatian town. In Croatia, this town is primarily known for its vineyrads, olive groves and beautiful beaches.  One of the best things you have to see is Church of St. George in Old Town; a lovely church is set high up on the hill that overlooks Primošten. This is a great spot for taking the sun set pictures. This is where we will spend the night.

Kornati National Park

Next day, we will sail towards Kornati national park. People are going to Croatia just to see Kornati and enjoy this remarkable experience. Kornati archipelago consists of with eighty nine islands which makes it a most indented island group in Mediterranean Sea. These small islands, islets and rocks are surrounded by crystal-clear sea which makes it unbelievable whether you are looking from the air or from the sea.  Kornati can be described as untouched nature without any settlements, just old stone fisherman houses. This is just talking about islands. Warm, crystal-clear sea that surrounds them is full of sealife including dolphins. You will find Kornati relaxing and beautiful. Here we will spend the night.

Telaščica Nature Park and Dugi otok

Early in the morning we will sail towards nature park Telaščica. Often regarded as a must to visit in Dugi Otok (Dugi island), here you can find three miracles: Telašćica bay – the biggest and the safest Adriatic port; salty lake Mir (Peace) and cliffs which rise up to 200 m above the sea level and descend into the 90-meter depth. Thanks to valuable and rich flora and fauna, underwater and archeological sites, Telaščica was proclaimed a nature park in 1988. Frequent visitor to the park is the good dolphin, now one of the trademarks to this nature park. In the last few years, Telaščica has become home to abandoned donkeys. Another interesting island is Taljurić which has interesting sight — a cave without a ceiling which either collapsed or dissolved.

As previously said, Telaščica is southeastern part of Dugi island. As name says, Dugi otok island (dugi=long) is 45 km long and wide up to four kilometers. The whole island is protected. Throughout the island there are marked architectural sites. There are marked bicycle paths and walking tracks. It is a paradise for diving enthusiasts that can enjoy the beauties of the Brbinjkica underwater cave and Mehnj islet.

This is definitely one of the best sights Croatia has to offer, so use opportunity and join us. We will swim at every beach, check what is under the water, enjoy all the views and jump from the cliffs if you want. Here we will spend the night. In the morning we will sail towards Zadar.

Zadar

Disembark is at 6pm in the most popular city in Croatia, Zadar. This is a city of history, a city of culture, a city of music… First thing that comes to mind when you think of Zadar is the Sea Organ and the Sun Salutation, the monument to the Sun. But Zadar has so much to offer. Zadar makes centuries of archeological findings and history fit into modern tourist trends. Some call it Adriatic center of entertainment and more than 50 years ago Alfred Hitchcock said the sunset in Zadar was the most beautiful one he ever saw. Just to name some of things you can visit while in Zadar: Sea Organ, Sun Salutation, Paseo Maritimo, Archaeological Museum Zadar and Zadar Cathedral
